The term seam slippage refers to the condition where a sewn seam in a fabric opens under tension. Excessive seam slippage is seen as a durability and “quality” issue.
Testing the seam slippage of a fabric is a universal and common test on woven products such as apparel, upholstery and technical products.
Over several decades, a plethora of methods have been developed to measure seam slippage. This webinar will outline some of the more popular test methods in current use.
