Overview
Martindale Abrasion and Pilling Tester with TestWise Touch is available in various standard models; the 2-station Mini, 5-station Midi and the best-selling Maxi Martindale with 9 stations. Capable of testing a wide range of applications and materials including textiles, socks, leather, coated fabrics, upholstery, edges and shirt collars.
In addition the AquAbrasion, a wet (and dry) testing edition of this iconic instrument, was developed by James Heal to replicate real-world testing conditions for items such as outdoor wear, PPE and protective wear.
Specifically designed to allow customisation of testing, the DurAbrasion variant of the Martindale can be adapted using array of attachments to create a bespoke test instrument for items such as straps and ropes, shoelaces, carpets, even wood, laminates and painted surfaces. These flagship James Heal instruments are each designed with quality, safety and versatility in mind. Built to last, these user-friendly instruments have simple to use TestWise Touch software, which requires very little operator training and is available in multiple languages.
To complete the package, we make quality original Martindale test materials and consumables, recommended for use on this family of instruments to ensure accurate repeatable testing.
