The Multifibre is made up of different fibre strips of material, which are often used as the adjacent fabric in different colour fastness tests. Including the likes of colour fastness to washing, dry cleaning, water perspiration plus many others.
The fabric composition is compliant with the requirements of ISO 105 F10 and approved by Marks and Spencer, Next and many other UK and European specifiers. We supply two different types: Multifibre DW and Multifibre LW.
Multifibre LW, approved by Marks and Spencer has a similar composition to the traditional Multifibre DW, but the acetate strip has been replaced by a regenerated cellulose strip in contrast. This is due to it being considered more relevant to the fibres commonly found in current apparel fabrics.
Peter Goodwin, Technical SpecialistWe have added a thoroughly tested colourfast identification strip into the selvedge of our Multifibre LW to aid stock identification. Regenerated cellulose is more relevant than Acetate to the fibres commonly found in current apparel fabrics.
