How do you perform burst testing?
Our TruBurst applies a force to the fabric, to measure the conditions that will cause the textile to rupture. This force is controlled by the introduction of a diaphragm which along with the specimen, will distend when pressure is applied.
What types of products would be tested like this?
Frequently textiles which includes leather, also medical supplies, paper, plastics, foil and other such packaging materials will be tested for their 'bursting strength' during development and for quality assurance.
